What Claude Motion Does for Busy Teams

Reuse the decks, spreadsheets and step-by-step guides sitting in your drive — Claude Motion restyles them into compact animations your audience can watch in seconds.

  • Animations Assembled from Code, Not Stock Footage
Every clip is an artifact produced by the Motion template — living code that drives the text, charts, shapes and images inside it.
  • Edit One Detail Without Breaking the Rest
Because each animation is code, changing a single word, number or beat leaves the remaining parts of the clip exactly as they were.
  • Each Clip Lands in Your Artifacts Tab
Finished animations are filed automatically in the Artifacts tab, right alongside everything else you have created.

Getting Started with Claude Motion

Three short steps are all it takes to produce your first animated clip with Claude Motion.

Claude Motion Capabilities at a Glance

From picking the Motion template to exporting MP4, Claude Motion handles the explainers, charts and walkthroughs teams ask for most.

Begin with the Motion Template

Open the Artifacts tab, select a Motion template, then spell out the animation you have in mind.

Tell It Who Is Watching and for How Long

Naming your audience, the viewing context and a target length helps Claude Motion shape a tighter animation.

Bring Your Own Deck, Data or Screenshots

Attach source material — a slide deck, a dataset, a screenshot — so the animation grows out of your real content.

Made for Explainers, Charts and Walkthroughs

Short-form pieces are the sweet spot: company-meeting updates, revenue visuals for leadership, step-by-step onboarding clips.

Download the Result as MP4

Once an animation is ready, save it out of Claude Motion as an MP4 file using the Export option.

Private Until You Decide to Share

Fresh animations stay visible only to you; you control when to share, and admins decide whether sharing can leave the organization.

FAQ

Common Questions About Claude Motion

The details teams usually want before they start using Claude Motion.

1

Which plans include Claude Motion, and is it switched on automatically?

Claude Motion ships in beta with Team and Enterprise plans. On Team it is on by default; on Enterprise it stays off until an owner enables it.

2

How can an owner turn Claude Motion on or limit who gets it?

Availability is managed from the Artifacts section of Organization settings. Enterprise owners can narrow access to specific groups with custom roles.

3

Does Claude Motion create lifelike footage or human characters?

It does not. Text, charts, shapes and images are animated as code, so no realistic video or human footage is ever produced.

4

Where do my animations live once they are created?

Each animation you make with Claude Motion is stored in the Artifacts tab, which is also where you can start a new one from the Motion template.

5

How can I download or share an animation when it is finished?

Pick Export, then MP4, to save the file. Until you open an animation and press Share, it stays visible only to you.

6

Do animations count against my plan's usage limits?

Yes — they draw on the same plan limits as your other Claude work, and a complex clip uses more than an ordinary message.

Put Claude Motion to Work on Your Next Update

Head to a chat or the Artifacts tab, select the Motion template and describe the explainer, chart or walkthrough you need. Enterprise owners may have to switch it on first.
