Why the Motion Template Earns Its Place

Still in beta, the Claude Motions artifact template reworks assets you already hold into compact animations that play back like video clips.

  • Every Claude Motions Clip Is an Artifact
Because each piece comes out of the Motion template as an artifact, it sits with the rest of your Claude artifacts instead of inside a separate editing app.
  • Animated by Code, Not by a Video Model
No video model sits behind Claude Motions, so expect no lifelike humans or real-world footage — it moves the text, charts, shapes and images you hand over.
  • Everything Lands in the Artifacts Tab
Whatever you build with Claude Motions is filed under Artifacts, the spot you come back to whenever you want to reopen a clip, revise it or pass it on.

How Claude Motions Works, Step by Step

Three short steps carry you from a written brief to a Claude Motions animation you can share.

The Claude Motions Toolkit, Feature by Feature

From writing a sharper brief to nudging a single scene, here is what Claude Motions lets you control while animating your own material.

Brief Better: Name the Audience and Runtime

Before work begins, state who will watch, where the clip will be shown and roughly how long it should run.

Bring Your Own Decks, Data and Visuals

Add the spreadsheet, slide deck or graphics you want on screen, and the result stays rooted in your own numbers instead of invented content.

Tweak a Single Scene Just by Asking

Ask in plain language — slow the second scene down, or fix a Q3 figure to 18% — and only that part gets reworked.

Fine-Tune by Hand in the Editor

Would rather drag things around than describe them? Open the editor and move any element into place yourself.

Small Edits, Everything Else Untouched

Because the result is code, changing one word, one number or one timing cue keeps every remaining element precisely as it stood.

Beta Rollout and Admin Controls

Claude Motions arrives in beta on Team and Enterprise: Team workspaces get it by default, while Enterprise owners enable it first under Organization settings > Artifacts and can limit it to chosen groups through custom roles.

Claude Motions FAQ

Claude Motions: Common Questions Answered

Straight answers on Claude Motions availability, what it can and cannot animate, and how finished clips are saved or shared.

1

Which plans can use Claude Motions today?

Beta access to Claude Motions covers Team and Enterprise. Team workspaces find it already switched on; Enterprise accounts need an owner to turn it on under Organization settings > Artifacts first.

2

Will it generate realistic footage or people?

No — there is no video generation model in play. You get explainers, charts and walkthroughs built from the material you supply, not lifelike humans or real footage.

3

Can I fix one figure without starting over?

Yes. Since the output is code, editing a word, a number or a timing cue leaves everything else exactly where it was.

4

Where are my finished clips kept?

All of them sit in the Artifacts tab, filed alongside the other artifacts in your workspace.

5

How do I save or share a clip?

Pick Export and then MP4 to download a copy. Fresh animations stay private by default — open one and press Share to let others in.

6

Does it count against my plan usage?

It does. Animating draws on your plan's allowance much like any other task, and long or involved clips use more of it than an ordinary message would.

Put Claude Motions to Work on Your Next Update

Open Claude, choose the Motion template or just ask for an animation in chat. On Enterprise, an owner must switch Claude Motions on under Organization settings > Artifacts before the team can use it.
